Each piece is made for outdoor use in Canadian conditions and goes through extra preparation:

This process helps ensure long-term performance through harsh weather.

Each gnome is mixed, poured, sanded, and sealed by hand. Variations in colour and pattern are expected. Small air bubbles may be visible—this is a natural characteristic of concrete, not a defect, and part of what makes every piece unique.
